Continue ReadingIn this lazy cake recipe, I tweaked an older one (by my friend @joellerached) and I cannot tell you how amazing it turned out!! I used whatever biscuits I could find at home, starting with digestives (a must in my opinion) and added some butter biscuits and pretzels. The saltiness of the pretzels was such a nice contrast to the sweetness of the chocolate. Also I added some malt powder (my friend @sandyskitchen’s genius idea!!) and it took this lazy cake to a different dimension. What i love about this type of desserts is that you can forget it in the freezer…

Continue ReadingCoconut macaroons, another super nostalgic dessert from my childhood. I created this recipe for my @cloudhoods collaboration using @nestledessertsarabia sweetened condensed milk. During my demo, I mentioned that this super easy dessert can be made with the kids and is an amazing idea as edible gifts, for teachers, neighbors, friends. You can use sweetened shredded coconut for a sweeter version, and drizzle with melted chocolate for a fancier one.

The book is the Missoni Family Cookbook by Francesco Maccapani Missoni.4 firm pears, peeled, cored and quartered then immediately coated in the juice of a freshly squeezed lemon, to avoid discoloration

Continue Reading(Recipe) I am not there, I am not with you, but our hearts and our souls are with you. That is a cake that I worked on during those days where I was wishing and praying for a better future for our Lebanon. This cake is not gluten free but you can definitely substitute the spelt flour with a gluten free cake flour of your choice. Although spelt isn’t gluten free, it is easier to digest.

Continue ReadingRecipe below! I have a special love for oranges in general and candied ones in particular. They remind me of happy memories. And although I have tried making candied oranges in the past, they never came out exactly as I wanted them. My talented friend Mary of @fromtheorangekitchen was kind enough to share her recipe and I personally think the results were rather pretty! Find Mary’s recipe below for the perfect candied orange.
