This recipe was passed to me by my dear friend @nourabdo. Adapted from @recipe_tin. It is super simple to make but needs pre-planning as it needs to be slow cooked for a minimum of 8hrs. I have tried less, it doesn’t work.My slow cooker is from @mumzworldcom, use my promocode Petites10 for 10% off your purchase.Let me know if you make it!

Continue ReadingThis sweet pastry recipe is similar to the one I used for the savory mushroom tart, but you have to replace the Parmesan and salt by 100grs of caster sugar. It is easy, melt in your mouth, nutty, buttery and so so good . Exactly what you need today. Recipe by @gordongram

Continue ReadingBeirut on my mind today. This fragrant, chewy fig jam is made using dried figs. It makes me reminisce of lavish Lebanese brunches and lazy halloum and fig jam sandwiches for dinner on the balcony. The lovely Marilyne of @thesweethobby kindly gave me her mom’s recipe to share with you all. Step by step in my highlights, recipe below:Fig jam

Continue ReadingI’m posting the recipe early so you can manage to bake it today if needed! The filling is based on the @hummingbirdbme with a couple of tweaks. The pastry crust is from the book #agoodbake by Melissa Weller. (Thank you Raja @lesmauvaisgarcons for your help)

Continue ReadingThis is the easiest pastry cream or crème pâtissière based on the recipe by @huckcafe. Many of you have asked me for it, after seeing me use it in the apricot tart. The cream was baked in that recipe but I wasn’t very happy with the final outcome. I’ll use it though as is in a baked tart shell and bake the fruits separately as it is utterly delectable.Recipe below:Makes about 3 cups (740grs)

Continue ReadingTHE lazy cake. This super simple and delicious dessert will take you back to your childhood. Play dates or visits to Teta always included biscuit au chocolat_ or lady cake! What i love about this type of desserts is that you can forget it in the freezer and just whip it out last minute when the neighbors show up- or your cravings hit!! (Make sure to double wrap in aluminum foil to avoid freezer taste). My original lazy cake or biscuit au chocolat recipe was given to me by my darling @joellerached and the genius addition of malt powder is an idea…

Continue ReadingPoached chili salmon and potato salad with fresh sugar snap peas.Although this salad is quite basic, the crunch and the sweetness from the raw peas and the dressing makes it so special. If sugar snap peas aren’t available, another crunchy vegetable like kohlrabi will also work very well. I have also used ready poached salmon, but I promise I’ll try to make them and share the recipe. Feel free to use grilled halloumi or shrimps instead.
