Chocolate cereal bites OR pantry foraging during homeschooling! So last week, while the kids were during their second week of distant learning, I decided to go through my pantry items and use ingredients that were close to expiration. Found some crunchy corn flakes and some leftover couverture chocolates from a previous job and I thought this is the best combo and the yummiest snack. Recipe (if we can call it as such!) and the measurements are approximate:

Chocolate cereal bites OR pantry foraging during homeschooling! So last week, while the kids were during their second week of distant learning, I decided to go through my pantry items and use ingredients that were close to expiration. Found some crunchy corn flakes and some leftover couverture chocolates from a previous job and I thought this is the best combo and the yummiest snack. Recipe (if we can call it as such!) and the measurements are approximate:
INGREDIENTS
- about 300g chocolate, (best quality, you can mix dark and milk), gently melted over a bain Marie.
- about 200-300g unsweetened cereal, (or mix of leftovers) of your choice. Ideally puffed rice crispies or corn flakes. Mix well together using a rubber spatula until all the cereal is coated in chocolate.

METHOD
- 1)
Scrape into an 8” x 12” baking tin lined with aluminum foil, or mini cupcake cases.
- 2)
Using the spatula, press and compress the mixture and smoothen the top.
- 3)
Chill for 15min before enjoying.
Notes
Can be kept at room temp or in the fridge. Enjoy!
