Nice, large shiny chocolate shards- the easiest way! My top tip is to remove the chocolate from bain marie before all the pieces have melted and using a spatula, keep stirring off the heat until all the chocolate has melted.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate (coins or chopped)
- Baking paper

Method
- 1)
Melt the dark chocolate using a Bain Marie or a heatproof bowl over simmering water.
- 2)
Once melted, spread the chocolate as thinly as possible over a sheet of baking paper.
- 3)
Roll the chocolate-covered paper gently to achieve a thin layer.
- 4)
Place the rolled chocolate in the fridge until it hardens.
- 5)
Once hardened, carefully peel off the chocolate from the baking paper to create chocolate shards.
