These delicious bars (or squares) are so easy to make and perfect for a snack on the go or a quick breakfast. Feel free to personalize with your preferred toppings/ nuts and seeds.
Ingredients
- 3 cups old rolled oats
- 3/4 cup hazelnut (or any nut) butter, runny
- ⅓ cup mild honey (or better, maple syrup)
- ½ cup milk chocolate, chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 large banana, mashed
- 1/4 cup chia seeds (optional)
- 1/2 cup sunflower seeds (optional)
- Pinch of salt

Method
- 1)
Preheat oven to 180°C.
- 2)
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well.
- 3)
Line a 9 x 9 baking pan with parchment paper. I used non-stick mini brownie moulds. Transfer mixture to the baking pan, and press firmly into an even layer.
- 4)
Bake for 14-16 min, until baked and set, and edges are just starting to brown. Remove from the oven and place pan on a cooling rack.
- 5)
Let the bars cool completely before cutting, using a sharp knife, into squares or bars.
