Habibi bites or 4 ingredients Chocolate Chickpea Truffles. These little habibis are so easy to make, so nutritious and absolutely delicious. The best part is that no one will know they contain chickpeas.
Ingredients
- 1 can of chickpeas, rinsed and drained well
- 1 cup of dark chocolate, melted over a bain-marie (add 1 teaspoon of coconut oil if desired)
- 1/2 cup of nut butter (almond or peanut butter)
- 3/4 cup of dark chocolate (for coating)
- Optional for decoration: cocoa powder

Method
- 1)
In a food processor, combine the rinsed and drained chickpeas, melted dark chocolate, and nut butter.
- 2)
Blend until you achieve a smooth and well-combined mixture.
- 3)
Scoop out the mixture and shape it into small truffle-sized balls. Place them on a baking tray lined with nonstick baking paper.
- 4)
Transfer the tray to the freezer and let the truffles firm up for at least 15-20 minutes.
- 5)
While the truffles are firming up, prepare the coating. Melt 3/4 cup of dark chocolate over a bain-marie.
- 6)
Take the truffles out of the freezer. Using two forks, dip each truffle into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated.
- 7)
Tap the forks on the edge of the bowl to remove excess chocolate.
- 8)
Place the coated truffles back on the lined tray. Optional: Decorate by dusting them with cocoa powder or drizzling melted chocolate on top.
- 9)
Allow the chocolate coating to set by placing the tray back in the freezer or refrigerator until the truffles are completely cooled and firm.
- 10)
Once set, transfer the truffles to a sealed container and store them in the fridge.
