The Oriental rice (for the lamb shoulder). A great recipe to transform leftover ready cooked rice into a fragrant side dish fit for a feast!
Ingredients
- 1 large carrot
- 1 large onion Grate then sauté in olive oil
- In 1 cup of boiling water, add:
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp dry coriander
- 3 strands saffron
- 1 tsp Kanz spices @kanz.beitelbaraka
- 1/2 tsp cardamom

Method

Mix into 2 cups of cooked rice
- 2)
Then add to the onion and carrot mixture.
- 3)
Mix gently to combine then cover and cook together on low fire until all the water is absorbed.
- 4)
Fluff with a fork and serve with lamb or meat of your choice. Eid Mubarak!
