THE lazy cake.

This super simple and delicious dessert will take you back to your childhood. Play dates or visits to Teta always included biscuit au chocolat_ or lady cake! What i love about this type of desserts is that you can forget it in the freezer and just whip it out last minute when the neighbors show up- or your cravings hit!! (Make sure to double wrap in aluminum foil to avoid freezer taste).

My original lazy cake or biscuit au chocolat recipe was given to me by my darling @joellerached and the genius addition of malt powder is an idea by my dear friend @sandyskitchen

My original lazy cake or biscuit au chocolat recipe was given to me by my darling @joellerached and the genius addition of malt powder is an idea by my dear friend @sandyskitchen

INGREDIENTS

  • 200grs unsalted butter, melted
  • 350grs digestive biscuits
  • 150grs salted pretzels
  • 395grs sweet condensed milk
  • 6 tbsp cocoa powder, sifted
  • 3 tbsp ovaltine powder, sifted (malt powder)- optional!

METHOD

  • 1)

Place the biscuits and pretzels in a zip lock bag, and crush them with a rolling pin to get small to medium chunks of crumbs.

  • 2)

In a medium bowl, mix the butter, cocoa and malt powder and the sweetened condensed milk.

  • 3)

Pour over the crushed biscuits and mix well until everything is properly combined.

Notes

Roll into 2 logs and wrap in aluminum foil. Keep in the freezer for a minimum of 3 hours before slicing and serving straight from the freezer.
