A lot of you asked me about this recipe and i was happy that my attempt was a success!! Not sweet, super creamy and so easy to make.
Ingredients
- 370g sweetened condensed milk
- 100g custard powder
- 1 + 3/4 cups cold water
- 700ml whipping cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 300g Nilla biscuits (plus extra for decorating)
- 3 ripe bananas
Method
- 1)
In a mixing bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk with custard powder and cold water. Cook the mixture on medium low fire until it thickens, then allow it to cool covered with cling film
- 2)
In a separate bowl, whisk whipping cream with vanilla extract until it reaches a thick and fluffy consistency.
- 3)
In the bowl of a stand-alone food processor with a whisk attachment, beat the cooled pudding mixture until smooth. Add 1/4 of the whipped cream and continue to whip to lighten the mixture.
- 4)
Gently fold the pudding mixture into the remaining whipped cream.
- 5)
In your serving dish, start layering with Nilla biscuits, followed by cream and sliced bananas. Repeat this process twice, finishing with a layer of the cream and pudding mixture.
- 6)
Decorate the top with crushed Nilla biscuits.
- 7)
Chill the banana pudding in the refrigerator for 4-8 hours before serving.
