The quickest caramel sauce! It’s the perfect alternative for anyone who’s scared of the burning sugar step in the traditional caramel making. Try this recipe and let me know what you think!
Ingredients
- 150 g soft dark brown sugar
- 250 ml double cream
- 50 g butter, unsalted
- 2 tbsp golden syrup
- ½ tsp sea salt flakes

Method
- 1)
Place all the ingredients in a small heavy based pot on low to medium heat.
- 2)
Gently bring to a boil, whisking constantly until the sugar has dissolved.
- 3)
Simmer for 2 min, then remove from the heat and leave to cool and thicken before serving.
