I organized some virtual baking classes for my son’s classmates, as a way to bring the kids together and entertain the moms too. This recipe is super easy, require only 3 ingredients and was the perfect choice for a virtual cookie workshop with kids of 6 years old. 3-ingredients lockdown sugar cookies- April 2020. INGREDIENTS
- ¾ cup unsalted butter, room temp
- ½ cup caster sugar
- 2 ¼ cups plain flour

METHOD

Granulated sugar to roll
- 2)
Orange zest, optional
- 3)
Cream the butter , add the sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
- 4)
Add the zest if using.
- 5)
Add the flour, beat in the machine for a couple of minute before tipping on your work bord and kneading by hand until the dough comes together.

Shape into a log and chill (or freeze) until firm to the touch.
- 7)
You can also roll it in coarse sugar or sprinkles.
- 8)
Slice into 1 cm thickness disks, bake in a preheated oven at 180C until golden.
- 9)
Cool on a wire rack.
- 10)
Keep in an airtight container.
Notes
If planning to freeze the cookie dough log, double wrap in cling film or plastic wrap then aluminum foil.
