Fish pané بالخسّه!
If you feel like a comforting, junky meal yet you don’t want to compromise on your new year plans, please give these fish pané in lettuce a go! The sauces are also super simple to make and transform this dish from a quick air fryer recipe to a yummyyyy meal!
Ingredients
- 4 fish fillets (cod, haddock, or hammour)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (i like panko)
- 1/2 cup flour + 2 tsp Cajun or bbq spices)
- 2 eggs
- Salt and pepper, to season the fish
For the sauce 1
- mayonnaise + chopped pickles + pickle water + black pepper
For the sauce 2
- mayonnaise + sriracha + chili jam @shauce_ae • Baby gem lettuce, washed and dried

Method
- 1)
Place the flour + spices in a shallow dish.
- 2)
Beat the eggs in another dish.
- 3)
Spread the breadcrumbs in a third dish, seasoning.
- 4)
Pat the fish fillets dry, cut into chunks and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- 5)
Dip each chunk in flour, shaking off the excess.
- 6)
Dip the fillets into the beaten eggs, ensuring they’re fully coated.
- 7)
Press the fillets into the breadcrumbs, coating them evenly on all sides.
- 8)
Bake in the air fryer at 180°c until golden. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy.
- 9)
Serve hot with the sauces in lettuce leaves.
