Moist, super easy, fudgy brownies sweetened ONLY with dates! I made it with pistachio spread from @benoit.ingredients, you can also make it with their hazelnut spread!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups pitted dates
- 1 cup hot water
- 170g unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder from Benoit
- 1/2 cup plus 2 tbsp flour
- 1/2 cup mini dark chocolate chips from Benoit
- 2-3 tbsp pistachio (or hazelnut) spread from Benoit
- To decorate: dried roses petals, chopped pistachios, chunks of halaweh and edible flowers

Method

Preheat oven at 180C.
- 2)
Blend the dates with the hot water until smooth.
- 3)
Transfer to a large bowl and beat it (with a handheld or a stand alone beater attachment) with the butter until smooth and fluffy.
- 4)
Add the eggs one by one and keep beating until smooth and completely combined.
- 5)
Next add the cocoa, the flour and mix just a bit to combine. Fold in the chocolate chips and transfer to a buttered oven proof skillet or an 8 x 8 inch pan.

Dollop little blobs of pistachio spread all around the top and gently swirl into the batter.
- 7)
Bake for 15-17min.
Don’t over bake. - 8)
Once cooled, decorate with some dried roses petals, chopped pistachios, chunks of halaweh and edible flowers- but that is completely optional.
