Blueberry Chia Jam. A simple homemade blueberry chia jam made from a quick blueberry coulis. Perfect for spooning over yogurt, oats, pancakes, or toast.
Ingredients
For the blueberry coulis
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- A squeeze of lemon juice
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
For the chia jam
- ½ cup blueberry coulis
- 2 tsp chia seeds
Method

Make the blueberry coulis.

Add the frozen blueberries, lemon juice, and honey or maple syrup to a small saucepan.

Place over medium heat and bring to a gentle simmer.

Cook for 5–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the blueberries burst and release their juices.

Continue simmering until the mixture thickens slightly.
- 6)
Remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly.

Make the blueberry chia jam.
- 8)
Measure ½ cup of the blueberry coulis into a bowl or jar.
- 9)
Stir in the chia seeds until well combined.
- 10)
Let the mixture rest for 15–20 minutes, stirring once halfway through, until it thickens into a jam-like consistency.

Enjoy immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
