For those days when you are craving a gooey, sweet, chocolatey and decadent snack but don’t want to indulge in refined sugar, please please please make these brownies. They’re sweetened with dates, contain no added oil and are made with almond flour so are naturally gluten free
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup dates, blended (or use date paste)
- 1/2-3/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup peanut butter (or nut butter of choice)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup almond flour
- 1 tsp baking soda a handful of chopped good quality dark chocolate
Method

Preheat oven to 180°C
- 2)
Blend all the ingredients except the chocolate chips. Adjust the water to get a medium soft batter.
- 3)
Transfer to a loaf cake lined with baking paper.
- 4)
Bake for 20-25min or until set on the sides and top. The center should remain slightly undercooked and gooey.
- 5)
Enjoy warm, at room temp or straight from the fridge.
