As promised, here is the easiest recipe to make with your kids. Rice Krispies treats. These treats are sooo easy to make, they’re so crispy and chewy and remind me of childhood flavors. Pick good marshmallows as they will affect the final flavor.
INGREDIENTS
- 6 cups rice crispies
- 300grs marshmallows
- 3 tbsp butter, unsalted
METHOD
- 1)
place the butter and the marshmallows in a large, heavy bottom pot. Stir with a large wooden spoon on medium heat until the marshmallows are melted and puffed up.
- 2)
Add the 6 cups of rice crispies and keep stirring on low fire until everything is well combined.
- 3)
Using a spatula, or a large metal spoon, place the mixture in a buttered rectangular pan.
- 4)
Use non stop baking baked (or the back of a buttered metal spoon) to smoothen the top
Notes
Wait for the treats to cool before cutting them into squares (if you can wait!) Better eaten on the same day!
