We recently tried award nominated @bombayborough_uae, a beautiful Indian restaurant in DIFC and waw what a discovery! Every single dish, from different regions in India, tells a story that the staff explained to us with inside stories and memories from their own childhoods. Every single bite was truly delicious!
Our favorite dishes were:
Pink City
Guava, lemongrass and raspberry.
A pink drink from the pink city of Jaipur.
Chowpatty Corn Ribs
Roasted corn strips dusted with tangy spices and lime.
Gunpowder Potatoes
Baby potatoes in a homemade South Indian masala podi.
Podi spice mix from Chennai in Southern India
Thecha Prawns
Prawns tossed in a a coarsely pounded green chilli
chutney with crunchy peanut.
Pulled Chicken Golgappas
Delhi spiced chicken, in semolina puffs, drizzled with yogurt and chutneys.
Banana Leaf Wrapped Sea Bass
Fish in a Kerala spiced tomato chilli coconut sauce
with pounded fennel seeds and curry leaf
Amritsari Kulfa
Kulfi and creamy rabdi on a bed of almond phirni,
finished with falooda and a dash of rose syrup.
Anglo-Indian Bread Pudding
Made the traditional way, and baked to a warm,
golden brown. Served with a vanilla custard.
