    We recently discovered Basko. A beautiful restaurant in Business Bay by Anthony Zaatar- menu by @chefyoussefakiki and desserts by @cedricgrolet. Everything about this place was magical. The decor was luscious yet comfortable, luxurious but unpretentious with a live DJ and music I would have danced to- except I was too excited to try the menu. What I loved about the food is that it is curated in a very different way from many of the Dubai food scene. Each dish had a creative twist, amazing bold flavors and was prepared to perfection.     Date dhibs cookies, vanilla gelato and vanilla date dhibs. I was experimenting with some delicious, organic date dhibs that @bateelgourmet gifted me. The cookies didn’t come out exactly as I wanted. I was after chewy and moist but as I significantly tried to reduce the fat, they came out more like cake, like pain d’épices. So I thought to transform them into delicious ice cream sandwiches, more whoopie pies style using our favorite vanilla @canvas.gelato.
