A Beautiful Dialogue of Flavors and Stories

A beautiful dialogue of flavors and stories at Bib Gourmand awarded Jiwan. Chefs @julien_guilloret and @chef_sara.aqel brought together the soul of Dara in Amman and the heart of Qatari cuisine in a menu that felt thoughtful, generous, and deeply layered. Fresh and vibrant yet deceptively simple at first glance, each dish carried its own story and complexity, from the warmth of Jiwan harees and the depth of camel, to the delicacy of sea bass crudo in tabbouleh cream, the comforting lamb with dates and mint, and the nostalgia of Teta’s rice pudding swirled with salted caramel and caramelized nuts. A collaboration that delivered not just flavors, but narratives, where technique met memory and color met culture, under the stars and overlooking the stunning skyline of Doha, in the heart of the National Museum of Qatar.
