A delicious dessert inspired by the famous banana pudding and surprisingly it’s super easy to make! And as all of my favorite Ramadan dishes, it can be made ahead of time. I use powdered custard but feel free to use whichever custard you like!

I remember very well, sitting with my parents, watching tv and mom would peel us juicy and sweet oranges. I am always reluctant about peeling them but if someone hands me these juicy fruits that I adore ready peeled- I’m in heaven!Actually, orange blossom is one of my favorite scents. This dessert is Moroccan inspired, although Spain has something similar called Naranjas con Canela. You have to try it to understand the beauty of this dish. The warmth of the cinnamon and the flowery orange blossom brings out an incredible sweetness in the oranges. I also used some small sweet clementines…

Silky, rich, and comforting. They taste like the chocolate Danette, except they are better because at least you know what’s in them. Finally, a super easy and satisfying way to use up all the leftover egg yolks from my meringues. I had some mango and passion fruit salad and some vanilla whipped cream: the combination was incredible!

I saw the recipe of this 2 ingredients bread (+ the pantry additions) on the page of @zoe.nogluten and was intrigued by the simplicity and the relatability of the ingredients! The recipe is exactly what you see, the result is a soft “bread” with hints of earthy tahini! I had a quick piece this morning bff with labneh and olive oil, I can’t wait to have more of it with different toppings!

Refined sugar free, vegan, gf and so so creamy! The addition of tahini gives us a delicious creaminess. Sharing this recipe with you to remind you: don’t believe everything you see! I love you all.

While many traditions fade, some evolve. Using my favorite ingredients from @spinneysuae, I created a tiramisu with the flavors of the popular “café blanc” or white coffee. These sips at the end of family meals hold the most memories and shared wisdom. The best chats…The biscuits, soaked in fresh milk infused with orange blossom, mastic and the fresh, crunchy nuts used to garnish this beautiful dessert make an impressive dish that is super easy to prepare in advance for your Eid Lunch. You can drizzle it with orange blossom sugar syrup. Eid Mubarak to all. May it be blessed, sweet and…

Cherry & Pistachio Baklawa Trifle or, in reality, The Leftovers Trifle. Whenever I find myself with extra egg yolks in the fridge or some toasted nuts, it will always prompts me to create delicious recipes that allow me to avoid food wastage. Especially during Ramadan, whatever food is leftover, it either gets frozen, distributed to friends (doggy bags) or upcycled into a new dish. I always remember a joke my mom used to say: mjadara first day, lentil soup the following! What are your favorite tips to avoid food waste during Ramadan?
